Welcome back to Movie Mondays,
Today I’ll focus on some of the great music that comes from the inspiration of Movies. There are some classic Tunes that have come out over the Years and Grown to be more than just the movie they came from.
So where shall we Begin.
How about an Inspirational Tune and Absolute Modern Classic - This Is Me
An Epic tune has True Lyrics and a Catchy tune and they don’t get much more epic than this.
A song about being you and not living to others expectations.
From Modern Films we’ll Travel back in time to the Late 80’s for The film Mannequin ( which I quite Like) and starship with Nothing’s gonna stop us now
Ok and staying in the Past we’ve got Eric Carmen with Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing ( Seeing as Number 3 is on the way with Jennifer Grey ‘Baby’ from the Original) Which Had the Fantastic Patrick Swayze ( I’m a Big fan of Swayze films such as ‘Roadhouse’)
Ok Coming Back to more Recent times we Have A fantastic song and Big Hit from the Film - A Star is Born
I mentioned earlier songs that Get you as soon as you Hear them, This one has No Lyrics but is an Aboslute classic and the Beat just Holds you from the first Note:
Now for an Inspirational Tune from a Bit of a Weepy. The film Is Beeches and the Tune Is - Wind Beneath My wings by Bette Midler
There are so Many great Songs that have Graced the Screen Some appear as Major Parts of the Movies, Some are Hidden within the Movie itself and Some are Gems that people are usually Leaving the cinema During and Never Get Heard really until People listen to the OST.
I’ll be showcasing some more in Coming Movie Mondays.
If you Have any that you Think should be featured then get in touch.
I’ll also be covering a Few Albums that have Been inspired by Movies but are Great Stand alone Albums which could have existed without The films they belong to.
Whats your favourite of the Tracks I’ve mentioned and do they have a Special relevance to you ?
Let me Know.
