Chataday Saturday

It’s chataday Saturday a mush mash of the weeks News and views.

So first up my heart and thoughts go out to those involved in the accident in Beirut this week.
A disaster wherever it occurs that injures innocent people is not good.

Apart from the obvious injured parties we often forget those that are associated and will also be suffering.

Which brings me to COVID-19 we are shown numbers everyday in relation to Deaths and infections.
Most will only recognise these are numbers and take for granted the indirect or direct this has on people’s lives.

For instance in the Uk there are approximately 43000 deaths caused by COVID to date.

If we assume that each person has only one relative then that is 86000 people affected by the virus 🦠.

As you can see that is not worst case scenario, the numbers could be up-to 300000 just in the UK that have had their lives changed due to the current pandemic 😷.

Maybe the numbers would blow our minds if we knew the full total of people affected, Maybe we choose to ignore it because it’s easier to deal with mentally.

Be assured that the consequences will be far reaching and most will be unseen or unreported.

Be kind to all because you may not be aware of what they’ve been through or are about to go through.

This pandemic is far from over, Remember just because rules are laxing, Just means they have spare beds to put you in NOT that the virus is gone.

Stay safe and Be kind.
