Signs of Christmas

With the Yuletide period upon us we remember those who haven’t made it this year but will always be in our memories.

This is a time of community and family coming together to celebrate the year that has passed and the new beginnings of the year ahead.

However why is it only this time of year that we do this.There are other times in the year when we come together but none quite like the Christmas period.

Surely this is something that could be carried on throughout the year, Good will to all men and of course women should be something we’re happy to do all year round.

Building communities where the young and old can come together and learn from each other.

The hugs, laughter and smiles should be a year round commitment not just for the festive period.

I don’t want to take anything away from Christmas time as it’s a special time of year that should be kept special.

But maybe this Christmas we should make the effort to continue to spread the joy and kindness throughout 2020 and beyond.

Make the world a better place and keep the signs of Christmas up all year long.
