How to move on from procrastination

Feel your not doing enough, feeling drained and less energetic.

How do you get away from that, It can be difficult but you are not alone.

Believe it or not the world is full of people just like you.

That’s why there are over 47k searches on instagram for motivation posts.

The main problem is once you find yourself in that procrastination rut it can be hard to pull yourself out.

BUT you need to,Life is too short to waist time not doing the things that would enrich your life and give you experiences and memories.

It can be hard when you get back from work after a long day both mentally and physically to feel as if you want to do anything else.

However it is possible just get into the routine of taking ten mins out when you get home or if you have a manic house then find somewhere between work and home to take 10 mins out for yourself.

Mindfulness is one of the best tricks in the world for relaxation and if you give it a chance it works.

Check out the apps available, I personally use headspace while at home and Buddhify when I’m walking to and from work (Yes you can do mindfulness while walking).

Ok so you’ve got mindfulness out of the way so what else can you do.

Organise your time better,That’s right if you’re a procrastinator there’s a good chance you’re not great at organising your time which overwhelms you.

Ok so I use Productive which i find awesome for splitting up my tasks and goals (And yes chores), But it’s personal choice find a task list that suits you even a written one ( Check out vertex42.com for free, yes free template lists).

Ok so you know what you have to do but how do you get it done.

Simple get a pomodoro timer or focus timer.

These split time into 25 min chunks with usually a 5 min break( most allow you to change the timer).

You’ll be surprised what you can achieve in 25 mins, no really it’s a lot more than you think when you know there’s a deadline.

Now you’ve got everything in place don’t forget to set yourself achievement rewards, Gamify your goals, tasks and chores you’ll feel better.

Also check out Mel Robbins 5 second rule it’s what got me motivated to blog and all the other things I have in the pipeline.

Remember motivation only goes so far, you still have to do things you don’t want to do to be able to get the results you want.

Let me know how you get on or if you have any tips to help others out.

I love hearing feedback on how you’re getting on.

Also if you have any ideas or feedback on the website then let me know, I’m always looking to improve things so even if the feedback is negative get in touch.
